Pumped circulation is the simplest of the two to picture. A pump moves water around the pond in a controlled, continuous loop, drawing water through the regeneration zone and returning it to the swimming area. Without that movement, water in different parts of the pond would behave almost like separate, static bodies, with nutrients settling in some areas and never reaching the planting that is meant to deal with them. Circulation is what connects the planted zone to the swimming zone in practice, not just on a plan. The rate and route of that circulation, how much water moves and where it is drawn from and returned to, is a design decision in itself, sized to the pond rather than applied as a standard setting.
Next, look past the finished photographs to what is actually described about each project. Does the portfolio explain the design thinking, why a regeneration zone was sized a particular way, or why a swimming zone sits where it does, or does it show finished images with no explanation of the decisions behind them? A designer who can articulate the reasoning is generally a safer bet than one who can only show the result.

It is a factual data point about a single event, not a claim about the overall scale of the business, how many projects it completes, or how long it has been operating. Those are separate questions, and an exhibitor credit does not answer them. That distinction is worth being precise about, since exhibitor credits are sometimes stretched by marketers into claims about scale or reach that the credit itself was never meant to carry.
